Overtone singing, bitonal tuning of the acoustic guitar with tablas and sitar
He learned bitonal tuning for the acoustic guitar, for playing with tablas and sitar, from Professor Jim Downey Harris (USA). Through intensive study of this style, he became acquainted with oriental vocal techniques, for which he holds great respect and admiration. Learning overtone singing, with techniques from Mongolia, Tuva, and Tibet, into which he invested many years of practice, combined with African vocal techniques from New Guinea and Tanzania, formed the foundation for the development of his own teaching concept. This knowledge is put into practice in his solo project "Mystic Blue Bird."
Based in Zurich, Switzerland, he founded the Skyvoices Institute singing school in 2002. He teaches at various institutions and music schools and conducts seminars and workshops on vocal training, verbal communication, and overtone singing in Europe and Mexico.
